Most people who wish to lose weight choose diets as the major mean for fighting overweight.There are no doubts they are right. Effective weight loss is inconceivable without a diet, or at least proper nutrition.Today there are many diets known,but not all of them can prove good for you.

An American diet – “No Suppers”

This diet is developed by American nutritionists. Today it is one of the most popular diets in Europe.

And it is not a surprise, as the diet is very simple and no special efforts are needed to keep to it, unlike other diets. The main rule of the diet is to abstain from eating after 5 pm.

Besides, there are certain recommendations for those who will decide to keep to the diet:

  1. Chose more carefully products that are good exactly for you
  2. Have as much liquids as possible
  3. Abstain from fatty food (fat meat, margarine, lard etc.)
  4. Take vitamins

This diet allows to have practically everything at breakfast. But it is strictly banned to have suppers! Anyway while keeping to this diet, you don’t need to think of calories, abstain from farinaceous foods, sweets and alcohol, just follow the quantity of products. You may eat practically everything. American nutritionists do not promise fast loss of weight, but this diet is absolutely safe!

Besides, diets of this kind always lead to stable and permanent results. So, if you don’t need to lose weight fast, this diet is just ideal for you!

Just abstain from suppers, fat products (including fatty yoghurt or milk) and unhealthy drinks (like aerated drinks). Eat fruits and vegetables, drink as much water and green tea as possible.

 It is very simple to keep to this diet and if kept to it correctly it is even more effective than fast diets.

Carrot diet

Everybody knows that carrot is a highly useful product! It is rich in vitamins and microelements needed by our organism. But a few people know that carrot may also help to lose weight. It is very simple to keep to carrot diet. One will not need to cook special dishes and count every single gram of any product. Everything is so simple. Though, not everybody can keep to this diet.

Carrot diet dish:

Take one or two carrots, grate them, add some lemon juice and a table spoon of honey. You may add any fruit you like to this dish (a banana, an apple, a kiwi, an orange or any other fruit you like). You must take this dish three times a day (at breakfast, dinner and snack), and at supper you should better have a grapefruit instead of this carrot dish.

During this diet youshould  have as much water or tea as possible. Green tea is preferable, and water should be without gas. Specialists advise to keep to this diet for three days (not longer!).

Rice and compote diet

If you are seriously thinking of keeping to a diet, but you don’t have enough time to cook special diet meals, this one is right for you! As it’s obvious from the name of the diet it consists only of rice and compote! You do not need to cook anything else. Rice should be cooked with water, without milk or sugar. Don’t knit your brow! Just think about the benefits and results of the diet.

You should eat rice twice a day- in the morning and evening. And have compote six times a day, a glass each time, two of them with rice.  

One will need 50 gr. of rice per day, 1,5 kg of fresh fruits or 250 gr. of dried fruits ((dried fruits are preferable for this diet). You may add sugar (100 gr.) for a day portion of the compote. Try to have at least a litre of it per day.

This diet contains 1200 calories. This is actually not enough, that is why nutritionists don’t recommend to keep to it for more than 5 days.  This diet is absolutely safe, as it may effectively clear your organism.

Have juices, think positively and lose weight!

Instead of taking pills for losing weight just have fresh juices. Fruit juices are natural and useful, this product is a real gift from nature for those who want to lose weight safely. Of course, we are talking only about natural juices, without preservatives and other synthetic additions.

You may choose those fruits which you like more, that’s why juice diet is not only useful but also pleasant. Juices contain various vitamins, needed by our organism, especially in winter. So have juices from your favourite vegetables and fruits regularly.

You may make cocktails with blender or juicer. Carrot and parsley juice is good to be had at intervals between meals, tomato juice assists in digestion and nutritionists recommend grapefruit juice at breakfast.

Juices that you make yourself have more advantages – they are fresh, natural and you may be sure that they contain no synthetic additions. If you have no blender or juicer, maybe it is the right time to buy it?

One more fact! Scientists have proved that regular use of natural juices may not only enrich your organism with vitamins and better your digestion, but also seriously improve your psychological condition. People, who have natural juices regularly, think positively and view many things in a different light. Don’t you believe in it? Try it yourself!

Finnish diet

This diet is developed by Finnish nutritionists. It is based on total exclusion of sugar, high-calorie products containing animal fat. Salt also should be excluded, as it is proved by experts that many products already contain salt, which is enough for organism. Fish, sea food and vegetable soup are the basis of the diet.

Ingredients for the soup :

Onion -500 gr.

Carrot – 300 gr.

Cabbage -250 gr.

Cauliflower -200 gr.

Celery – 300 gr.

Garlic – 1 clove

Leek – 200 gr.

Parsley -250 gr.

Tomato juice – 1 glass

Pepper and basil – to taste

How to cook the soup:

Wash the vegetables, cut them into small pieces, add cold water and boil till ready. Make pure from what you get after boiling, add tomato juice, spices and continue boiling it for other 10 minutes.

The menu of Finnish diet:

The first breakfast:  vegetable soup, any boiled grain or groats with fatless milk (2 table- spoons), a glass of fruit juice.

The second breakfast: another portion of vegetable soup, any fresh vegetables.

The dinner:  fish soup, a small piece of boiled hen, salad with grated carrot with verdure, juice fruit.

Supper:  vegetable soup, fried lean beef or veal,  buckwheat or pearl porridge, fruit salad,

Have a glass of warm milk at bedtime.

DO NOT eat bottled , tined or smoked products, macaroni, rice, animal fat and sweets

YOU MAY eat any vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, seafood, grain and groats, fatless milk or dairy products, tea, coffee without sugar, fruit juices and mineral water.

Keep to Finnish diet for 1-3 weeks.
